“Cap’n”
James Robert Adamski was born in the heart of the Midwest to a man
and a woman. He was raised in a loving
home surrounded by pictures of animals and woodland scenes. On
weekends, his father would take him to the backyard where they would
spend hours chasing squirrels and looking at birds. It didn’t take
long before young James felt drawn to the
outdoors and a true Wildlife Expert was born.
While attending Brookenburg Middle School, Jim earned his nickname
“Cap’n” due to his almost disturbing affinity for hats. He was an
average student who would spend hours each day looking out different
windows in order to observe the “critters,” as he called them, on
the playground or nearest windowsill. Recess was the time when Jim
would shine. Cap’n Jim was always a source of expertise for his
less-informed classmates who would come to him for all of their
squirrel or pigeon-related questions.
In High School, Cap’n Jim began to realize his true potential. His
walks to school provided him several opportunities on a daily basis
to observe wildlife in some of its forms. He usually attended
biology class in order to further his knowledge of a subject that
had become an all-consuming passion for a young Wildlife Expert.
Cap’n Jim participated in seven field trips throughout his four
years of high school and signed up for 2 camping trips that were
unfortunately cancelled due to rain.
Cap’n Jim discovered hunting at the age of 22 after striking a
groundhog with his car. He had heard that the elusive groundhog was
some of the tastiest meat there was, but was not able to scrape
enough from the wheel well of the Cavalier to sample this delicacy.
The next day, Jim went to the local hardware store to purchase his
first firearm and headed for the state forest. After 2 years of
diligence and practice, Jim finally harvested 2 squirrels and a
housecat that was, unfortunately, in the wrong place at the wrong
time. The hunting bug had bitten!
However, Jim’s luck was about to change. After several unproductive
seasons, Jim began looking for more efficient methods of harvesting
game. He was frustrated hunting public land and was hesitant to pay
the exorbitant fees charged by “fair chase” guide services and “high
fence” hunting ranches that did not guarantee he would harvest an
animal. A new method of hunting was about to be born!
After hours of painstaking research, Jim procured 10 lush acres of
semi-wooded property and began developing methods of harvesting game
that would revolutionize hunting. By combining several patented
apparatuses within a limited geographical area, inspired outdoorsman
would be able to harvest more game than ever before! Cap’n Jim’s
Tethered Deer Hunting Lodge is able to boast a 100% success rate for
every client that has hunted with us!
